Pundits on How to be Funny! Ryan Higa is the creator of Nigahiga, a popular web-based video series produced for YouTube and cohosted by Sean "the fluffy bunny" Fujiyoshi since July 20, 2006. The NigaHiga YouTube channel was the most subscribed channel in the comedy and overall categories until Lucas Cruikshank's Fred channel surpassed it in October 2008. As of December 29, 2008, Nigahiga has over 704,652 YouTube subscribers and is the 2nd most subscribed channel of all time.

Higa is best known for his "How to be" series of videos, including "How To Be Gangster" and "How To Be Emo". Some of Higa's YouTube videos have been viewed over 15 million times. Higa attended Waiakea High School in Hilo, Hawaii. He currently attends University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Higa is also set to appear in the film Ryan and Sean's Not So Excellent Adventure. Video partner, Sean "the fluffy bunny" Fujiyoshi, appears in most of the NigaHiga videos with other friends who occasionally appear, such as Tim Enos aka Helga who plays "Helga Fawntanilla". Occasionally, Kyle Chun and Jason Lin appear in the Nigahiga videos.

"How to be" series

Perhaps the most popular videos by Sean Fujiyoshi and Ryan Higa are from his "How to be" series, which are videos that parody most of the stereotypes that people in modern times have about different people. All these episodes have 5 lessons. Their "How to be" videos are: * How to be Ninja - It is about a Nerd who gets beaten up by a bully and receives a DVD by an unknown person. It features these lessons: screaming whenever you hit things, catching things with chopsticks, teleporting from place to place, transforming into anything, and knowing how to perform FATALITIES. It has over 15 million views.

* How to be Gangster - After studying How to be Ninja, the Nerd still gets beaten and gets another DVD from the unknown person. Features: cursing in every sentence, having a cool handshake, showing poses, breaking all the rules, and rapping. It has over 21 million views. "How to be Gangster," as well as "How to be Emo," have been removed for the time by YouTube, due to a copyright claim put on them by Muhammad Pabel Miah.

* How to be Emo - After getting beaten by the bully once more, the Nerd decides to give up on life and recives another DVD. Features: Enjoying self-given pain, always overreacting, killing yourself while fighting, having the same expression in everything you do, and knowing the EMO song. It has over 18 million views. Like "How To be Gangster," Muhammad Pabel Miah has put a copyright claim on this video.

* How to be Nerd - After being beaten by the bully once again, the Nerd gets another DVD. Features: awkward laughing, stupid fighting moves, never giving to peer pressure, having nerdy handshakes, and always having an escape plan. Before the end credits, the bully gives him the trademark exercise ball, saying,"You know what to do already." The Nerd, missing his daily beatings, gives himself a FATALITY. This video has over 12 million views, and is the last film showing the Nerd.

* "How to be an Actor?" - features Milo Ventimiglia on the Ryan Higa Show. Ventimiglia personally did this interview for Higa.

* How to be UFC Fighter - This "How to be" video is not as popular with the fans, although it still has some elements of the previous "How to be" videos, such as the 5 lessons and the exaggerated facial expressions. It also features B.J. Penn. The video has over 2 million veiws

* How to be at the Premiere - Mainly a promotional video for Ryan and Sean's not so Excellent Adventure, this video tells what theaters to go to in order to see their movie. It features 5 lessons like the other "How to be" videos, but this video has Higa talking faster than usual, so the video is shorter. The video has more than 1 million views. Other videos Higa's very first video was made with Ryan Villaruel. Ryan Higa also has other videos on YouTube. His other videos are promotional videos for the movie they are making (Ryan and Sean's Not So Excellent Adventure), rants, spoofed up video's eg: The Number 21 (The Number 23) and I Wanna Play a Game (Saw), video's on the latest updates, The Ryan Higa Show, lip syncing different songs by various artists with exaggerated facial expressions, and original songs. His original songs are:

* "The Ninja Glare" (Parody of "In the Ayer" by Flo Rida featuring will.i.am)

* "Asian Boy - Yank That Cameltoe" (Parody of "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" by Soulja Boy Tell 'Em)

* "So Damn Stupid" (Parody of "Yahhh!" by Soulja Boy Tell 'Em featuring Arab)

* "Happy Boom Boom" (Part of promotional video "Sean Returns," and is a techno remix of "Boom Boom Boom Boom" by Vengaboys)

* "Sorry Fans, Blame My A.D.D" (Parody of "Sorry, Blame It on Me" by Akon)

Films Ryan And Sean's Not So Excellent Adventure The film about a down-luck producer (Michael Buckley) that finds two internet stars (Ryan and Sean) to be in his new movie. There, both boys went to Hollywood and start filming. The movie basically shows how much Ryan and Sean deals with the pressure of being movie stars. At the same time, the Stalking Mangina follows them around.
